ON Cologne is a non-profit cultural institution and an active network in the field of new and experimental music based in Cologne. ON works with the independent scene for an active cultural life within the urban society towards an open, dynamic and sustainable cultural landscape of the future. In doing so, we see ourselves as an equal part among the multitude of cultural forms of expression.
Emerging from the »Netzwerk Neue Musik« (2008–2012), an initiative of the German Federal Cultural Foundation for the mediation of contemporary music, ON has been acting as a contact point and interface for the local independent scene since 2012, thanks to the support of the City of Cologne and the State of NRW. ON offers advice and structural support for freelance artists, ensembles and organisations.
Through its own projects and series, such as the SPARK – Festival für aktuelles Musiktheater, the Cologne Ensemble Festival WERFT or the currents/ Festival für aktuelle Tiefkultur, ON is committed to networking and giving freelance musicians in the field of new and experimental music in Cologne a stage. Together with Kölner Gesellschaft für Neue Musik (kgnm) and the Gesellschaft für Neue Musik Ruhr (gnmr), ON publishes the magazine NOIES musik szene nrw six times a year with insights into the scene and an extensive concert calendar.

Actors of new and experimental music in Cologne can benefit from various supportive offers from ON Cologne. ON Cologne offers access to three rehearsal rooms, a free technic rental, the Mikrostipendium (microgrant), free workshops as well as advice on planning and realizing music projects.

Social Media
ON – Neue Musik Köln itself does not collect any data in its social media appearances and uses the appearances exclusively in the context of public relations. The social media pages of ON – Neue Musik Köln are also visible to everyone without registration, but an individual profile is always required for interaction. In addition, there is a private facebook profile under the name Karlheinz Cologne. Please refer to the privacy notices of the respective providers for information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of your data, as well as your rights in this regard.
Spam
The use of published postal addresses, telephone or fax numbers and email addresses for marketing purposes is prohibited, offenders sending unwanted spam messages will be punished. We reserve the right to take legal action against the senders of so-called spam mails in the event of violations of this prohibition.
