ChezON with Marco Pascarelli, Hanna Schörken & Christina Zurhausen

More live performance than usual at our ChezON workshop talk series awaits you in May: Marco Pascarelli and the duo of Hanna Schörken and Christina Zurhausen will bring their music and talk about it.

May 15
7 pm
Studio Palmin in Vogteistraße 18a, Cologne

The German-Italian violist Marco Pascarelli performs with »Raus«, a project for viola, effects and electronics.
»You live in a world that is constantly changing and evolving. I look around, outside and inside myself. New sounds and images emerge and so ›Raus‹ tries to expand and transform the sound of the viola and take it out of the classical patterns we are used to. All the sounds begin with the viola and are modified in analog and digital form so that they move away from the real sound of the instrument. This creates soundscapes that take the listener into another dimension of listening.«

Guitarist Christina Zurhausen and vocalist Hanna Schörken perform as a duo and also give an insight into their working methods, compositional sketches, idea generation and their understanding of free improvisational music.
