The workshop offers an introduction to project funding in the field of contemporary music. We will give an overview of the funding landscape in Cologne and Berlin and present the relevant funding programs of both cities with their different funding criteria. In doing so, we go into the types of funding and look at which funding fits the project in the first place. We will explain the effects of German federalism on funding structures and who decides on project funding and on what basis. Afterwards there will be time for your questions.

The online workshop aims to impart basic knowledge and works with input units, group discussions, small group tasks and collegial exchange.
