ChezON with Farhad Ilaghi Hosseini, Rachel C. Walker and Christina Fuchs

On December 7, Trio Abstrakt will present the concert evening »chambers#1« with works by Alberto Posadas, Rachel C. Walker, Jonah Haven and Farhad Ilaghi Hosseini. Two of the composers will be coming to the Alte Feuerwache a day earlier to present their compositional work based on current pieces – come along to ChezON with Rachel C. Walker and Farhad Ilaghi Hosseini!

However, we recommend that you come an hour earlier this time – the ComposerLounge will take place in our office at 6 pm. Our guest is the composer, saxophonist and clarinettist Christina Fuchs.

Rachel C. Walker composes poetic, timbre-specific pieces that emerge from her ongoing engagement with and exploration of Chinese folk music, musical time structure and language. She maintains long-term collaborations with contemporary writers to explore the philosophical connections between transcription and translation within abstract musical syntaxes.

Farhad Ilaghi Hosseini was born in Kerman, Iran. He initially studied art painting and
graphic design, later piano at the Tehran Conservatory and finally composition in Hanover and Frankfurt.

Christina Fuchs is a composer, saxophonist and clarinettist. She is in charge of her ensembles No Tango Quartet, FLUX, KontraSax, FUCHSTHONE ORCHESTRA and with the musicians’ collective SONIQ.
